Why I Started This

Honestly… I didn’t think I’d ever start a blog.

And even though I have, I don’t exactly know what I’m doing (like — at all). But here we are.

So why am I doing this?

1. Because I love writing.

In school, writing was the one subject I felt confident in — the “easy” class. And that’s not me saying I think I’m Shakespeare reincarnated (trust me, no one wants me writing sonnets). It’s just that writing feels like the one place I can take the chaos in my head and actually make it make sense. Or at least try to.

2. Because I’m in therapy (hi, personal growth ✨).

One thing I’m working on is talking about my feelings instead of shoving them into the back of my brain like a messy closet. I don’t think my therapist meant for me to post my inner monologue online, but… here we are. Writing feels like the bridge between saying it out loud and keeping it all locked inside. This blog is me practicing that — letting the mess out, but in words.

3. Because I think other people might relate.

Maybe not to every detail, but to the feeling of being stuck between childhood and adulthood. Of being asked to have it all figured out when you don’t. Of wanting something different for your life, but not always knowing what that is yet.

4. Because I want to play.

With words, with storytelling, with style. Some posts will feel like journal entries, others like lists or little essays. I want the freedom to try it all here.

What I’m (Not) Expecting

I’m not here for wealth, fame, or internet clout. All I really want is to put myself out there, take a risk, and maybe learn something along the way. This blog is for figuring myself out. Writing things down. Sharing the in-between.

And maybe, just maybe, connecting with someone out there who thinks, “Honestly, same.”

      1. Not that I am an expert or anything lol but being genuine is probably the most important aspect to not just blogging, but any sort of public platform. Readers have an easier time connecting with what you are saying when it feels honest and true 🙂
